Civic Engagement Summer Program
Volunteer from Home Online Session
June 9 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm on Zoom
This session is designed for Young Women ages 14-24 who would like to be connected actively in the community and learn more about volunteerism. Learn about how to create a “Starfish” project and how you can have an impact with meaningful and easy activities to do from home. We encourage you to stay active so that you are able to use your talents to have fun and have something meaningful on your resume. Girls ages 14-24 with a Permanent resident card are able to register.

Girl’s For Alberta Online Session
June 18 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm on Zoom.
This session is designed for Young Women ages 14-24 who would like to know how the provincial government and federal governments are different. Learn about how the province makes decisions during COVID-19 and how you can have a voice online.

Rights and Freedoms Online Session
June 30 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm on Zoom. This session is designed for young women ages 14-24 who want to know about how the Charter of Rights and Freedoms are having an impact on our lives through the COVID-19 pandemic. Learn about how the right to life and the right to safety prevail in times of crisis.
Civic Engagement is also available for guest presentations upon request from community partners, agencies and schools

Here are the exciting details! A week long activity that involves celebrating multiculturalism, playing games, learning about volunteerism at home, having an art session, learning about self-care, and learning more about Indigenous people in Canada. Open ONLY to girls 14-24 with PR Card registration. 4 separate programs. It is free Choose ONE week you want to attend
