CIWA invites immigrant women ages 18+ years to the inauguration of Siebens Jeam International Women’s Day Scholarship.
The scholarship provides financial support to hard working immigrant women who pursue their educational goals in Canada. Two scholarships of $1500 each will be awarded.
CRITERIA TO APPLY:
- CIWA client or volunteer (past or present)
- Immigrant or refugee woman 18+ years of age
- Recipient must use the funds to further her education at a recognized institution
- Must not have received another scholarship from CIWA
HOW TO APPLY:
- Complete and sign the application form
- Include a signed letter of reference
- Include a curriculum vitae or resume
SCHOLARSHIP CONDITIONS:
- Award is presented at International Women’s Day celebration in March
- Recipient must be present in person to receive the award
- To give the scholarship money, CIWA will need a confirmation of enrollment and original receipts
- All scholarship funds must be used within the year of receiving it
